I honor Tscha-kole-chy, its pre-colonial history, and the Indigenous People upon whose traditional lands my home now sits. I am located in the traditional territory of the Lower Skagit, Swinomish, Suqamish, and Snohomish tribes. Our island was named Whidbey by colonial settlers in 1792.

A social scientist turned marketing and communications expert, Alissa began her career in the conservation nonprofit sector in South Asia, working at the intersection of community development and environmental stewardship. She later immersed herself in the fundamentals of the conventional real estate industry as an investor and co-founder of a sales and property management company in Portland, Oregon. There, she helped build and manage the teams and systems supporting projects ranging from single-family homes to small-scale multifamily properties.

Seeking greater alignment between her work and her grounding in spiritual ecology, Alissa became an early leader in the emerging field of regenerative real estate. Today, she serves as COO of Latitude Regenerative Real Estate, co-creating the company’s broader strategy while leading its marketing and creative direction. She is also a team builder and connector, strengthening the relationships, collaborations, and internal culture that allow Latitude’s work to grow.

These days, Alissa’s focus is on building the field of regenerative real estate, supporting Latitude’s agents and their clients, and ensuring this work has a meaningful and enduring place in the broader market. Through every property represented on Latitude’s platform, she works to bring greater sophistication to real estate storytelling capturing the ecological, cultural, and human value that conventional marketing has often overlooked. In doing so, she is helping build a marketplace that recognizes real estate not simply as a commodity, but as a powerful catalyst for the regeneration of people, place, and planet.

Alissa’s work at Latitude spans brand stewardship, storytelling, strategic partnerships, business development, team culture, operations, administration, and compliance. She also chaired the 2022 and 2023 Regenerative Real Estate Gatherings, bringing together practitioners and leaders working at the intersection of land, community, ecology, and the built environment.

Shaped by her Alaskan upbringing, international work, and global travels, Alissa carries a deep love for people and the natural world. In 2021, she and her family relocated to Langley, Washington, where they are restoring and tending Eden Star Farm, their five-acre biodynamic homestead. Away from her desk, she tends the garden and orchard, growing staple foods for the family pantry alongside plenty of flowers.

Alissa holds degrees in International Studies and Japanese from the University of Oregon and a master’s degree in Intercultural Service, Leadership, and Management from the SIT Graduate Institute. She is a Living Future Accredited professional and completed the Regenesis Institute’s Regenerative Practitioner Series in 2022.
