The ‘āina on which I live is part of the larger territory recognized by Indigenous Hawaiians as their ancestral grandmother, Papahānaumoku. I recognize that each moment I am in Hawai‘i she nourishes and gifts me with the opportunity to breathe her air, eat from her soils, drink from her waters, bathe in her sun, swim in her oceans, be kissed by her rains, and be embraced by her winds. I further recognize that generations of Indigenous Hawaiians and their knowledge systems shaped Hawai‘i in sustainable ways that allow me to enjoy these gifts today.

It is the stories that we tell ourselves that create our world, which is why David’s work is that of recasting a new story.

David joins Latitude as an Advisor with a deep background building the Regenerative movement, particularly within the realm of agriculture. David has an entrepreneurial background leading venture-backed startups for 10 years before co-founding and leading Farmer’s Footprint as it’s first Executive Director whose mission it is to accelerate the universal adoption of regenerative agriculture.

David is also a founding partner of Biome Capital, a full service investment platform designed for a regenerative food system. They invest in farmland in equity partnership with local growers, in infrastructure and brands that support regional ecosystems, and in emerging technology to de-risk and accelerate the transition.
