My home rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and many other tribes who made their homes here. Indigenous people have created communities and summer encampments in this area for the last 11,000 years.
For Erik, real estate isn't simply about property. It's about finding the place that supports the life you want to build. It’s a neighborhood where you know your neighbors, a yard that becomes a garden, a workshop for making things with your hands, or a piece of land that invites you to slow down and care for it.
Erik brings a deep understanding of Portland’s urban core while focusing his practice on garden homes, farms, retreats, and semi-rural properties throughout the greater Portland region. Working alongside and mentoring with Latitude broker Nathan Reimer, he helps buyers and sellers look beyond conventional measures of a property to understand how its land, buildings, neighborhood, and existing systems can support the way they want to live.
Before becoming a broker, Erik worked in property management, where he got to know the housing process by touring properties, handling leases, and listening to what people actually needed from a space. Through this, he developed a love of helping people find a fit that worked for both their lives and the property.
He later led complex creative projects as a producer and project manager for Thread, a Portland copywriting agency. Earlier in his career, he helped expand the reach of Microcosm, an independent publisher dedicated to DIY culture and practical knowledge and co-created Locale, a Portland neighborhood café inspired by the hospitality and community he experienced abroad. Across these roles, Erik developed a practice of listening closely, building trust, managing details, and helping people move toward something meaningful.
Today, Latitude gives Erik a way to bring these experiences together through real estate. Whether helping someone find a home with room to grow food, a retreat from city life, a small farm, or a place within Portland’s neighborhoods, he helps clients recognize not only what a property is today, but what it has the potential to become.
