2023 Gathering Theme
From Ownership
to Stewardship
Embodying a stewardship stance towards self, people, and place.
The Gathering is a revitalizing and energizing anchor for culture creators and change makers in the regenerative real estate space to get to know one another, build the field, and find ways to collaborate.
As regenerative practitioners, we are disrupting the real estate industry and planting seeds of hope through our work, authorship, and leadership. The Gathering serves to bring like-minded visionaries in community to restore, connect, and expand.
Our annual Gathering connects leaders across an emerging field to foster relationship-building, collaborative-thinking, and participate in rich ceremony.
For regenerative principles to take root, we begin at the heart of community.
We’ve witnessed an inexplicable synergy unfold when leaders are invited to sit across from one another to build relationships, share ideas and break bread.
Place
River Bend Farm in Saco, Maine
River Bend Farm location is the essence of regenerative real estate with a master plan inspired by the Living Community Challenge.
-
River Bend Farm is on the traditional land of the Sokokis Tribe of the Pequawket people of the Wabanaki confederacy. Generations of ancestors have cared for this land and we acknowledge its unjust seizure. We are learning and living on their territory, honor their culture, and are enormously grateful for their stewardship of the land.
River Bend Farm is a historic 307-acre farm on a scenic bend in the Saco River. It is a place to inspire learning and sustainable living. It is designed to bring people and nature together. River Bend Farm provides “live what you learn” opportunities for guests through hands-on exploration of Maine’s ecosystems, sustainable living practices, direct connection to food systems and farming along with modeling conservation-in-action. River Bend Farm is a place where people of all ages will find comfortable accommodations, delicious food, and beautiful outdoor spaces to explore.
-
Sleep peacefully at River Bend Farm’s certified Living Building dormitory — a 9,000 square-foot home-away-from-home. The site layout intentionally takes advantage of existing tree line windows giving you the opportunity to be immersed in a restful forest setting.
Rooms can accommodate up to 4 people per room, but for the purposes of our gathering we will put 2 adults together — invite a colleague or thought-partner to share time with!
Enjoy local organic farm fresh meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Coffee + tea available throughout the day.
