Reverent Selling and Success(ion)

There comes a time when something new becomes possible or necessary and we need to move on.

Despite the sense that we had cultivated a home, made it healthy, comfortable, and beautiful, built soil and cared for the life surrounding us, established community and a network of care, we know it’s time to move and someone else will live and build a life here.

When we’ve developed a relationship with a house, a place, and a particular spot on earth, it feels hard to imagine someone else living there and loving it as much as we have.

We’d love for them to love what we loved, what we’ve cultivated, and honor how we’ve kept this place. Some might call this a legacy — like an imprint that informs and influences how life continues after we leave.

We might not be able to control what happens after we leave, but we can create the conditions for others to see what’s been cultivated and created.

Moving is a sacred transition and finding a stewardship successor—someone who will value the place you’ve called home so they cultivate a life and connection to that place — becomes necessary.

At Latitude, we help people make meaningful changes and transition ownership from one place keeper to a new one.

We can learn about your home and become expert storytellers to attract the next steward who can imagine and see themselves living into the unique place you’ve created.

While this happens in a market environment where money changes hands and an exchange is made to establish a new owner, there is more at play than that.

While this transition is often impacted by economic factors, banks, third parties, it also happens between humans reaching a meeting of the minds and hearts. It can be done with intention and space for our wholeness—body, mind, and soul.

Selling real estate can be transformational.

Sellers can complete this process feeling like their care and their relationship with this place has been honored. New stewards can step in and feel the gifts of entering a relationship with a new place that has been loved. In the end, our collective relationship to place, land, ecology, and the planet can be nourished through a reverent sale process.

If you’re at that place where a transition is upon you, and it is time to move forward, call us in. We’re here to facilitate meaningful transitions.
